VoIP blog 8: Different platforms; Xelion

Posted on Wednesday, June 20, 2018

In our previous VoIP blog, we told you about the 3CX platform. This week we’ll introduce you to the Xelion platform. Both platforms are comparable, but what are the most important differences?

The installation of Xelion

You can install the Xelion softphone-app easily on different devices like laptops, smartphones and tablets. Working becomes more flexible and efficient when you install the VoIP app on all of your devices. When you receive a call, you’ll be able to answer it wherever you are and whatever device you carry with you. Forwarding from one device to another is also very easily set-up, which comes in handy when you’re for example working from home.

How does Xelion work?

After the softphone is installed every user can adjust it to his or her own style. Xelion consists of different convenient functions such as calling groups, call forwarding and of course keeping your address book up to date on all your devices.

Besides these functions, it’s also possible to call every number directly, both internally and externally, national and international and recording these calls in case you’d need those for the future. With Xelion you can also easily generate and create a report on the accessibility and your personnel’s calling behavior.

What does it cost to use Xelion?

Your provider of business internet or business telephony probably will also give you the option to take a Xelion subscription. Every VoIP solution uses different pricing. Therefore it’s best to get in touch with our consultants directly.

What are the exact differences between 3CX and Xelion?

You can install both of the softphones on different devices, but not for everyone the same solution is the best. At Comsave we recommend 3CX when a company needs a large number of phones and is making a lot of international phone calls, while Xelion is very convenient for smaller, national-based companies where in some cases only one phone is needed.
